About The Cape Squad
Cape Squad is an empowering community group dedicated to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to step beyond the ordinary and embrace opportunities that foster independence, personal growth, and meaningful relationships.
Through active participation in the community, Cape Squad members learn essential life skills, build interpersonal relationships, and develop the confidence to tackle everyday challenges. Our group prioritizes physical activity, encouraging members to build strength, stamina, and dexterity while exploring hobbies and trying new adventures.
Every experience is an opportunity to grow, solve problems, and have fun. Whether it's developing a creative passion, trying a new activity, or simply enjoying time with friends, Cape Squad is all about making the most out of life.
Many of our adventures are recorded and shared on our YouTube channel, where members have the chance to contribute by editing and producing fun, engaging videos. These projects provide a platform for creativity and technical skill-building, allowing members to tell their own stories and inspire others.
